2023-2024 Important Dates for Seniors

Sept. 19 & 20: Jostens returns to pick up graduation orders. Orders can also be placed online (www.Jostens.com) or mailed directly to Jostens.
Sept.-Nov: Seniors schedule individual meetings with their counselor. Senior students should use their counselor’s calendar link to set up an appointment with their counselor.
Oct. 27: Senior photos. It is tradition for seniors to submit a portrait of themselves for the yearbook. Click here to read all the official guidelines for senior photos and view our recommended list of photographers. Photos must be submitted by Oct. 27. Click here to upload your photo. Please no horizontal photos or full body shots!
Oct. 27: Senior Baby Ads. Many families purchase a senior tribute ad (known as "baby ads") to recognize the achievements of their seniors in the yearbook. Purchase your baby ad at theyearbookcompany.com. Baby ads must be purchased by Oct. 27.
Dec. TBD: Financial Aid Night. Presentation for senior students and families, Auditorium. View the presentation on the Counseling Events website.
March/April: Jostens will be at Monarch High to distribute graduation announcements and other ordered items (except cap and gown) in the main lobby during lunch.
April TBD: Graduation Speaker Auditions.
April TBD: Senior Panoramic Photo and Senior Meeting. Final calendar events will be discussed including graduation details. Seniors will have a group panoramic photo taken.
April 26 8:00–11:00 PM: Prom at the Boulder Theater. Prom is for Monarch High JUNIORS/SENIORS; guests are allowed but MUST be accompanied by MHS student. Guest permission forms are available in the Main Office.
April 26 11:00 PM -2:30 AM: Monarch After-Prom More information will be shared about this event when made available!
May 6-17: AP Testing. Schedule and testing times will be available on the MHS AP Exam Schedule website. CLICK HERE.
May TBD: Senior Car Parade. Typically sponsored and organized by MHS Senior parents/guardians. More information will be shared about this event when made available!
May 13: Seniors pick up their Checkout Sheet from the Counseling Department. Seniors must complete their Naviance Senior Survey in order to obtain their Checkout Sheet. To receive cap and gown on Thursday, May 16, seniors must have a completed checkout sheet with all required signatures.
May 14, 15: Senior Finals.
Tuesday, May 14 - follow Thursday Block Schedule (1, 3, 5, 7)
Wednesday, May 15: Wednesday Block Schedule (2, 4, 6)
May 15 6:00-8:00 PM: Senior Awards Ceremony. Students receiving an award on stage will be notified prior to the ceremony.
May 15: Last class day for seniors.
May 16 1:45-3:15 PM: Senior Checkout / Cap and Gown distribution. Seniors must bring their Checkout sheet to cap and gown distribution in the cafeteria.
May 17: Final Transcript Requests due. Seniors must enter their final transcript request in Naviance when they complete their Senior Survey. (Survey opens early May.)
May 17 8:45 AM: Graduation Rehearsal at MHS. All graduating seniors must attend. This will be the only practice for Commencement.
May 17 11:00 AM: Senior Gauntlet Ceremony. Student assembly in the Main Gym.
May 17 12:00 PM: Senior BBQ. Sponsored and organized by MHS Senior parents/guardians. More information will be shared about this event when made available!
May 17 7:00 PM: Commencement at CU Events Center. No limitations on number of guests. More information to follow prior to graduation.
