Additional Information

‚ÄčThe BVSD Japanese Exchange Program (JEP) is a cultural exchange with Tokyo Jitsugyo, our sister high school in southern Tokyo. The JEP Committee interviews students to choose 8 BVSD student ambassadors to participate in this long standing program. For 50 years BVSD has sent students for a 5-6 week home-stay in Tokyo, to visit with families, practice a little Japanese and visit important cultural sites.  Monarch High School's role is to host the Japanese students/teacher when they visit our school every other spring. We sent students this past Summer 2015, so we will host in Spring 2016. If you are interested in hosting a student or getting involved in the program please contact me. Students who are dedicated to the exchange program in early years can have an advantage during the interview process because this factor is taken into consideration when choosing our 8 BVSD student ambassadors to Japan
