I began teaching at Monarch after earning my Master of Arts degree in Secondary Science Education from CU - Boulder in 2014. As an undergraduate I studied Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Before returning for my Master's, I worked in Outdoor and Environmental Education for nine years and lead backpacking trips to Alaska. In April, 2015 I was selected as a Knowles Science Teaching Foundation Fellow, a five-year national program that is aimed at creating a stable, sustainable corps of outstanding teachers, who have the capacity and inclination to drive positive change in the United States’ educational system. When not at school, you'll find me outside.
